Voters Integrity Group of Nigeria, (VIGN) Delta State Chapter, has endorsed the Gubernatorial Candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) in Delta State Prince Emmanuel Ogba, for the 2023 Governorship Election.
Chairman of VIGN in Delta State, Tega Freeborn and Secretary, Joseph Obohwo who announced this yesterday in Asaba said the endorsement was based on Ogba’s Manifesto, robust developmental blueprint and E-governance approach to governance.
According to Freeborn, Ogba’s e-governance principle is wholelistic, his policy on agriculture will created a new economy where youths would be hugely engaged.
“This will bring more food at affordable prices, huge employment and wealth creation. When large percentage of youths are busy with economically viable activities, they will have less time for criminality.
“The computerized approach to governance would guarantee security as security personnel would have the latest gadgets that would also insure prompt response to emergency situation” he said,
“Freeborn also expressed delight over the ADP candidate’s idea of collaboration with Federal Government agencies in reviving the State of Sea Ports in Delta.
“Yes, with the huge revenue and huge employment that such steps would provide to the economy of the state, it could be possible for his policy of tax holidays to low income earners in Private Sector.
“The implication is that huge employment opportunity would guarantee or check Youth’s Urban drift.
“We believe in the integrity of Emmanuel Ogba. He will fulfill his Campaign promises compared to other candidates with their empty promises that are hardly accomplishable.
“With Ogba’s proven Integrity to development Delta State through his wonderful blue print for development of the State, a vote for him will change the face of development in Delta.
“We therefore call on all registered voters in Delta State to apply wisdom and vote for Prince Emmanuel Ogba to create enabling environment that State desires.
In his own remarks, the group’s Secretary, Joseph Obohwo noted that Prince Ogba’s believe in devolution of power and local Government Autonomy marks him out as leader that focuses on the future.
