A political pressure group, Niger Delta Youth Coalition (NDYC) , has called on well meaning Nigerians to disregard All Progressive Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) , saying both parties were responsible for the woes the Nigerian masses are passing through today.

National Coordinator of NDYC, Prince Emmanuel Ogba, who made the call in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital advised Nigerians to consider candidates of other parties for the interest of the nation , stressing that APC and PDP should apologize to the masses of the country for the avoidable hardship they pass through instead of seeking for their votes in the forthcoming elections.

” If you judge both APC and PDP by their antecedents you will know that the interest of the citizenry are not their concerns.

” APC in 2015 promised to take petrol pump price from…. to…, today what is the price? APC promised to take dollar exchange rate from… to… , today what is the rate? APC promised to fix the nation’s refinaries within…. months, today how many refineries are working?
” What is the unemployment situation? What is the situation of health, security, roads, power supply, or that of education where our university students have wasted their precious academic sessions in the house because of strike by the lecturers?

” In fact tell me the singular sector that has not been polluted by APC?

According to Ogba, same situation affects other states being controlled by the PDP today.

” Most PDP controlled states suffer the same fate of poor governance. In the few PDP states that have managed to provide infrastructure, crisis have taken over them because of the selfishness of the Governors who want everything to be sited at their sides of the state. They are in total control as if they have conquered the people of their states.

” There are mass looting of public property, no accountability, hunting of opposition political parties with the aim of remaining in power from 2023 against the will of the people .

” To me , I think that the PDP and APC that have ruled for several years , yet kept us where we are today, should render unreserved apology to the masses for taking the country several decades backward , rather than asking for their votes as if they are conquered fools.

” To do this to Nigeria, the largest black nation of the world means that both parties have embarrassed the black race of the world. Allowing them to continue hanging on to power would spell doom for the country.

The NDYC National Coordinator further explained that both parties were even given second term in office, and that, instead of using the second term as opportunity to correct themselves, they even used it for mass looting and to impoverish the poor masses the more.

” So what moral justification do APC and PDP have to demand for another opportunity in 2023 ? What an insult?

Ogba urged Nigerians to reflect on the unspeakable number of innocent citizens and foreigners that sacrificed their lives on the alter of APC and PDP misrule and see 2023 as an opportunity to give a seal to the death of both parties from the history of the nation by using their PVC to vote them and other bad leaders in other parties out of power.

The NDYC boss appealed to APC and whosoever that is the Petroleum Minister to account for the proceeds of the nation’s oil for passed years, instead of pretending as if it does not matter.

He regretted that it took so much efforts and blood of innocent Nigerians to remove the military from power , only for PDP and APC to worsen the situation of things.

” Nigerians have not been more disunited than now as different parts of the country agitate to go their separate ways.

” 2023 should rather be seen as an opportunity to liberate ourselves from the stronghold of death, economic quagmire, mass looting, leaders with expired brain and leadership without vision or direction.

” The only way to do this is to look at the direction of other political parties other than PDP and APC in the forthcoming elections in the country ” he maintained.
