3rd phase ex-agitators congratulate Ogbuku on appointment as substantive NDDC MD
The Third Phase Ex-Agitators Forum under the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) has congratulated Dr. Samuel Ogbuku on his appointment as the substantive Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The Chairman of the ex-agitators, Tonye Bobo in a congratulatory message in Yenagoa described the appointment as a good omen to the Niger Delta region.
He hailed Tinubu’s decision to make Ogbuku Managing Director status of the NDDC in substantive capacity, adding that the president has demonstrated a desire to stabilize and develop the region by giving leadership opportunities to people who are hungry to make a positive mark.
He expressed confidence that the commission under the leadership of Ogbuku will be committed to bringing about the development the region desperately needs.
“On behalf of all the third-phase ex-agitators under the Presidential Amnesty Programme, I congratulate Dr. Samuel Ogbuku on his appointment as MD/CEO of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“Ogbuku’s appointment is a good omen to the Niger Delta region having a performer like him reappointed to oversee the affairs of a critical agency like the NDDC for more years.
“Niger Delta needs all the development it can get and we are convinced beyond reasonable doubt that Ogbuku is capable of driving that process.
“We are pleased by the decision of the President to repose confidence in Ogbuku who has shown great capacity to unite and empower our people as well as provide the needed infrastructure in our communities.
“President Tinubu has shown that he desires to stabilize and transform the Niger Delta for good by giving opportunity to only capable and proficient leaders that are hungry to make a mark,” the message partly read.
Tonye Bobo on behalf of the Third Phase ex-agitators further reaffirmed his support for the Ogbuku-led NDDC and urged him to concertedly work with other members of the management team to rapidly develop the region.
He also admonished Ogbuku to continue the stewardship of the commission with humility, integrity, and above all fear of God.
