…as campaign train berths Koluama, Amassoma, Otuan communities
Ahead of the November 11 governorship election in Bayelsa state,the candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Chief Timipre Sylva has again said his agenda for the people of Bayelsa State to develop,educate and empower human beings is paramount.
Sylva,who stated this on Thursday at Koluama community in continuation of his campaigns to communities in Southern Ijaw Local Government Areas, assured the people of his ability to develop human beings unlike the Senator Douye Diri’s government that has no clue.
Sylva,who who was a Former Governor and a Former Minister of State for Petroleum Resources,said top of his agenda is human capital development, Notting that the biggest and most important resources Bayelsa State has are the human beings, henced the need to develop the human beings.
According to him,the development, education and the empowerment of the human beings is something that his government will tackle seriously so as to take people out from poverty and make them wealthy,he however appeal to them not to make any mistake but to vote right come November 11.
His words “The people in government are clueless and do not know what to do but I want to assure you, I and my Deputy governor know the way,we know the way to empower you,we know the way to develop your communities.On top of our agenda is human capital development because we believe the biggest and most important resource Bayelsa State has are the human beings
“We must Develop this human beings,we must educate this human beings and empower this human beings and that is at the top of our agenda,in 2024 after we must have been sworn in we will come here,and I want to be able to count millionaires we have created from Koluama.
The governorship hopeful also said that, if elected infrastructural deficit in the state will be properly addressed especially in Koluama, adding that no good roads, electricity and water.
He further noted, that among the other candidates he’s the best being the Former Minister of State for Petroleum Resources bringing oil production to their door step will not be a challenge .
He said “I passed the petroleum industry act,I know the in and out of that law and working with the oil industry we can actually make you benefits more from the oil industry more than anybody can do,we want to develop our economy so we can provide employment for our people,we want to produce food for our people
“And you Koluama you’re living in the shore of the Atlantic ocean why are we not the biggest producer of fish in Nigeria,a country like Norway exporting fish and that has been one of the richest country in the world.
“I want to assure you Koluama that a vote for me is a vote for the future of this community and the future of the youths and children of Koluama,On the 11th of November I want you to March out to vote for the APC myself and the incoming deputy governor.
The campaign trail later visited Otuan,and Amasoma communities were Sylva promised them of a better developmental plan for them, their communities and Bayelsa.
