As the governor Douye Diri’s administration gears up for its inauguration for second tenure Hon. Don Jacob Ebikeseiye Kurobo an appointee also a strong supporter to Governor Diri and PDP has admonished the governor to carry all local governments and wards along in the scheme of things.
The Apoi born security expert and politician expressed dismay that some persons who benefited from the government in the last dispensation did not work and urge the governor to be fair to all who put in their all for his victory in the November 11 governorship election.
Don Jacob Kurobo Ebikiseye also noted that for justice, equity and fair play the governor should consider those who genuinely worked and not pretenders.
He used the medium to call on the minster of State Petroleum Resources (oil) Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Chief Dr. Samuel Ogbuku and the Interim administrator of the Presidential Amnesty programme (PAP) General Tariye Ndiomu to commit themselves to the development of Bayelsa state and jettison party interest.
“The time for politics is over, these great men of Bayelsa State should join the governor Douye Diri in developing the state and forget about party interest” he added.
He congratulate them on their appointments and thanked President Bola Tinubu for giving them the opportunity to serve in his government.
Don Jacob kurobo Ebikiseye, said further that Apoi-Gbarain ward 15 in Southern ijaw local government Area, deserved position of Commissioner and other positions, adding that it is the largest ward with a huge number of voting population in the local government, stressing that Ward 15 Constituency 4 Southern Ijaw LGA is made up of the Apoi Kingdom Landmarks and the Gbaraun Kingdom landmarks, according to him these are two defferent Clan’s.
He used the medium to congratulate the governor and his deputy on their victory at the polls, adding that the victory was a mark of hardwork by the governor in his first tenure.
On the call for consideration of Apoi ward 15, he also noted that the area is made up of natural resources such as oil and gas reserves, forest reserve for red monkeys in Nigeria.
Don Jacob kurobo Ebikiseye called on political appointees to close ranks and work for the common good of the state, stressing that the governor should call for town hall meeting of stakeholders to discuss on the development of the state.
The chairman of the Apoi political Forum also expressed congratulation to the out-going cabinet members and appointees for their contribution to the development of the state governor Douye Diri’s first tenure.
Finally he advised the traditional rulers, Youths, Stakeholders and Coalition groups to practice Law and order to ensure that there would be peace on the Land.
That is the only Way that “We the leaders in our various categories can support governor Diri and Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo developmental milestones”.
