Amassoma Community Endorses PRP Candidate Bannerman Timitula Embiowei, Pledges Votes
The Amassoma community in Port Harcourt has overwhelmingly endorsed the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) candidate, Evangelist Dr. Hon. Bannerman Timitula Embiowei, describing him as a credible voice of the people who can provide democratic, inclusive and people-oriented representation for Constituency 1.
The endorsement followed a consultation visit by Embiowei and his 12 disciples as part of their ongoing engagements with communities, groups and institutions across Constituency 1 to seek the support of the people and present their vision for effective representation.
The visit provided an opportunity for the PRP candidate and his team to interact directly with members of the Amassomo community, listen to their concerns and discuss the need for leadership that prioritises the welfare, interests and aspirations of the people.
During the engagement, members of the community expressed confidence in Embiowei’s candidacy, declaring him the preferred choice among the candidates seeking to represent the constituency.
The community reportedly affirmed that Embiowei had demonstrated the qualities of a people’s representative and expressed the belief that he would remain committed to the people if elected into office.
According to the community, the decision to endorse the PRP candidate was informed by their confidence that he would provide democratic representation rather than pursue personal interests at the expense of the electorate.
The endorsement also reflected the community’s desire for a representative who would maintain close contact with constituents, listen to their concerns and ensure that their voices are heard in matters affecting their welfare and development.
Members of the community assured Embiowei that they owed him their votes, signalling their readiness to support his ambition at the polls.
For the PRP candidate and his team, the endorsement represents an important milestone in their ongoing consultations across Constituency 1, where they are seeking to build relationships with communities and secure grassroots support for their political programme.
The engagement with the Amassomo community further underscores the importance of direct consultations in the electoral process, particularly in strengthening the relationship between candidates and the people they aspire to represent.
With the endorsement, the Amassoma community has expressed its expectation that Embiowei, if elected, will uphold the principles of accountability, transparency, fairness and democratic representation.
The PRP candidate’s consultations with communities and institutions are expected to continue as the campaign seeks to expand its grassroots engagement and communicate its vision for Constituency 1.
As the political contest gathers momentum, the support expressed by the Amassoma community adds to Embiowei’s efforts to position himself as a candidate committed to placing the interests of the people at the centre of governance and representation.
