The Chairman, Directorate for Project Monitoring and Evaluation, Hon. Engr. Ebiye Tarabina, Mcoren, today inspected the ongoing Akaba/Okodi Road project as part of efforts to ensure that contractors execute their jobs in strict compliance with contractual specifications.

Speaking during the inspection, the Chairman commended the contractor for completing the sand filling work. He noted that sand/cement stabilization and stone base laying of 8.5 kilometres have been achieved, while asphalt laying (binder course) of 6.8 kilometres has also been completed.
The Chairman thereafter proceeded to inspect the Agbura/Ox-Bow Lake Road, where he lauded the contractor for maintaining the required asphalt heat temperature and adhering to best engineering practices.
Hon. Tarabina was accompanied by the Secretary, Engr. Sampson Igodo, Board Directors, Engineers, and other senior officials of the Directorate.
