Abule’s Councillorship ambition gets endorsement

As the race for the chairmanship and councillorship draws closer with the Bayelsa State Independent Electoral Commission (BYSIEC) fixing 14th May 2022 for the elections. A former Militant General and security expert Jacob Kurubo aka “Don Jay” has  endorsed the ambition of Samuel Abule who is gunning for the ward 8 councillorship seat in the Southern Ijaw Local Government Area.

Samuel Pappy Zebulon Abule who is a son of a frontline governorship candidate in the old Rivers State Late Chief Dr. Barr. Zebulon Abule, received accolade from Kurobo who believed that his ambition is in the right direction because he is starting his political career from the grass-root.

According to Kurubo, “I on behalf of my family endorse you because you are a true son of your father. People don’t know the role your father played in the political development of the state, if they know your father, you don’t even need to campaign”

He assured the councillorship hopeful of massive vote, adding that he is confident that if given the mandate the young Abule would not disappoint his people.

Southern Ijaw Ward 8 comprises of Peremabiri and Diebu Communities in Constituency 3, and Abule hails from Diebu Community.

Kurubo who is popularly known as “Don Jay” and a chieftain of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) further admonished the councillorship aspirant to carry his people along if he wins.

“I am extremely sure that you will win the election, I advise you to carry everybody along if you are elected”.

The Samuel Abule campaign team as part of its consultation paid a consultative visit to Jacob Kurubo “Don Jay”.

Speaking earlier, the councillorship hopeful Samuel Abule, said his campaign team as part of its consultations is meeting stakeholders so as to galvanize support for the actualization of his ambition.

He also noted that he would carry the people along in the scheme of things and consult them from time to time on how best to move the communities of the forward.

“I will always consult my people on issues bothering on their development and ensure that government is brought closer to them”.

Abule further revealed that education, agriculture and youth and women empowerment bye-laws would be vigorously pursued if he is given the opportunity.”

He was accompanied on the consultative visit by some party stalwarts including: Ayibapreye Solomon Suobo and Erepamo Konboye who in their Separate speeches eulogied the qualities of Abule, saying if he secures the mandate of the people, he would surely deliver the dividends of democracy to the people. 

Also present at the visit was Prince Tari Ekubo who was a former Governorship candidate and the Secretary of PANDEF in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area among others.
