The 52 year- old Ogoda-Brass trunk line crude oil leakage was discovered last Sunday 17th July 2022 and the CDC Chairman of Okpoama Kingdom, Chief Toinpreyo Oruama-Ogbo said the leakage was reported promptly to Agip.
As at press time on Wednesday, he said the company was yet to visit the site of the incident and called on the authorities concern to come to the plight of the people urgently to stop the oil from spreading further.
“This is about the 6th time in 2 years the Ikuiku axis of the Ogoda-Brass trunk line has failed, emptying unquantified barrel of crude oil into the environment and in all the cases it was equipment failure.” He noted.
