The Future Is Bright for Nigeria Canoeing and Kayak Athletes,Dare

Minister of Youth and Sports Development Chief Sunday Dare says the future is bright for Nigeria canoeist and kayaking athletes as the 2024 Olympics games Paris in France.
Chief Dare gave the hint at the Grand hotel, Asaba shortly after watching the day 5 day of the canoeing event.
He said he was happy to see two Nigerian Olympian Esther Toko and Ayomid Powei in the National Sports Festival go head to head, stating that the commitment of the athletes in Asaba is a demonstration of hope for Nigeria.
The minister noted that canoeing and kayak can give Nigeria gold medal in the next Olympics games, saying that with all round approach of nurturing talents and sports development that the future is bright for the country.
Chief Dare asserted that with what he has seen so far in the ongoing National Sports Festival that Nigeria would increase the number of sports Nigeria would take part in the Olympics, explaining that Nigeria went to the last Olympics with nine sports.
Host Delta State are currently leading the medal table with 242 medals, 129 gold, 68 silver, 45 bronze,Bayelsa are on second 90 medals 31 gold, 21 silver, 38 bronze followed by Edo on 24 gold, 35 silver, 62 bronze, Oyo state on 4th 14 gold, 18 silver, bronze.
Borno, Gombe Zamfare, Adamawa, Sokoto , Taraba and Cross River are among the yet to record a single with only bronze and silver for them.
