Rivers govt hails king Jaja as he clocks 81, Toby at 82
The Rivers State Government has felicitated with King Dandeson Douglas Jaja, CFR, DSSRS, Jeki V on the occasion of his 81st birthday.
In a statement signed by the Honourable Commissioner for Information and Communications, Chris Finebone, the Rivers State Government described the monarch, who is the Amanyanabo and Treaty King of Opobo and Chairman, Rivers State Council of Traditional Rulers, as a worthy example of the traditional institution in Rivers State.
“King Dandeson Jaja is an epitome of the very best that our traditional institution represents and his wisdom is one that the government will continue to tap into.
“As the Chairman of the Rivers State Council of Traditional Rulers, he has, so far, discharged his duties with candour, diligence, creativity and great wisdom,” the statement declared.
The government wished King Dandeson Jaja a memorable birthday and many happy years ahead replete with good health and long life.
In a related development, the Rivers State Government has congratulated a renowned educationist, Dr. Dame Christie Toby, on her 82nd birthday.
Dr. Dame Christie Toby, who is the wife of a former Deputy Governor, Alabo (Sir) Gabriel Tamunobiebere George Toby, clocked the ripe age of 82 on 28th April, 2023.
The government wished her many years of good health and long life.
