Former Bayelsa PMAN Governor Wants Ijaws To Rally Round Nigeria’s Highest Ranking Lawmaker, Nicholas Mutu
A former Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN) Governor in Bayelsa State, Prince Perez Ogbogbo has called on Ijaws in Delta State and across the globe to give the House of Representatives member representing Bomadi/ Patani Federal Constituency of Delta State, Hon. Nicholas Mutu the maximum support for him to succeed in the task of delivering the dividends of democracy.
Niger Delta Herald reports that Hon. Nicholas Mutu is the highest ranking member in the green chamber of the National Assembly because he was elected since 1999 and has been re-elected to the 10th NASS.
Speaking exclusively to Niger Delta Herald online at the side line of the reception in honour of the lawmaker at his residence in Abuja, Prince Ogbogbo noted that Ijaws should be proud that they have produced the highest ranking member of the NASS and he needs their prayers and support for him to succeed.
“Nicholas Mutu needs all the support now for him to succeed in the task ahead and our people should shun the pull-him-down syndrome and rally round him so that he will sponsor bills and motions that would impact meaningfully on their lives.
The former Bayelsa State PMAN boss emphasized that with the experience garnered over the years, the lawmaker is well equipped to make the desired impact, stressing that the lawmaker should continue with the good job he is doing over the years.
He admonished the highest ranking member to focus on the youths by encouraging sports and entertainment, adding that youths are the pivot on which the wheels of progress revolves.
“Bulk of the youths are in the endeavours of sports and entertainment and I implore our amiable lawmaker to look into that direction, so as to dissuade the youths from engaging in social vices inimical to the society.”
Prince Ogbogbo used the opportunity to congratulate the Delta Queens FC for emerging champions of the National Women Football League, noting that the Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has shown that he is a youth friendly governor with the Victory of the Delta Queens F.C.
