Bannerman Embiowei Appeals to NDDC MD, Diri for Music Instruments
First Ijaw gospel music maestro, Pastor Bannerman Embiowei has send an appeal to the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Dr. Samuel Ogbuku and the Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri for support for the acquisition of musical equipment to enable him function properly.
Pastor Bannerman who took the Ijaw gospel music scene by storm since 1985, said the appeal becomes necessary to boost his trade and help his ministration.
He spoke exclusively to Niger Delta Herald in Yenagoa, the capital of Bayelsa State.
The Amassoama born gospel singer, said he has over 40 songs to his credit, stressing that, at the age of 73 years, he is still vibrant and active more than when he released his first album in 1985.
Pastor Embiowei reiterated that he has songs in honour of Ijaw Hero Late Jasper Adaka Boro, the Ijaw National Congress (INC) American Chapter and Ijaw Women in the Americas.
He said his appeal to the MD/CEO of NDDC Samuel Ogbuku and Governor Douye Diri is borne out of the premise that they are good listeners who had compassion for the people, saying that they would be divinely rewarded, if they help him purchase the music instruments.
