Chief Hon. Julius Bokoru has been accepted to attend the Ebedi International Writers Residency at Iseyin, Oyo State.

The Residency which is the most celebrated in West Africa provides a conducive, serviced and serene facility for writers to conclude ongoing works of art including painting, film and music.

The Residency has played host to various top writers across the continent and has been the birthing point for many great books published in the nearly two decades of its existence.

Julius Bokoru, who is the Special Assistant on Media and Public Affairs to former Governor of Bayelsa State Chief Timipre Sylva, thanked God for his acceptance and praised his boss for allows supporting him.

Invited writers, about four selected strictly on merit across Africa, will in their 4-week stay at Iseyin teach their craft to select secondary and teriary students at least 4 hours a week.

They will also have regular interactions with journalists on life at Iseyin and the progress of their works.
