Bayelsans in Malaysia rate Diri, Wabote high on foreign investment drive , local content policy

 The Bayelsa Community in Malaysia has rated high the State Governor, Senator Douye Diri and the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Content, Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) Engr. Simbi Wabote over practical foreign investment drive  and local content policy.

While the Bayelsa Community in Malaysia pass  a vote of confidence on Diri over the state investment policy  drive towards robust partnership with the Malaysian  Government which  Malaysia entered into a scholarship program that benefited over 90 students to study in University of East London Malaysia Campus from 2009 to 2015.

The Bayelsa Community in Malaysia described  as commendable the policies of the Executive Secretary of Nigeria Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB),Engr Simbi Wabote for his vision to bring massive development and Investment to the Local content policies of the country which has become adoptive samples to countries in Africa and the world.

 The Founder Bayelsa Community in Malaysia, Kelvin F Otele, in a statement issued via electronic mail, pointed out that the sound investment relationship between Malaysia Government and the Bayelsa Government has led to various development initiative for Bayelsa state, which made Malaysia to propose for the setting up of  a Lubricant Plant, Solar Farm and are open to any oil and gas business Investment initiative with Bayelsa State.

Otele, in the statement appreciated Senator Douye Diri administration’s Investment manifest for Bayelsa state, his recent courtesy visit to the Malaysia Embassy in Abuja is very great “I wish to call on the Federal Government and people of Bayelsa State to give the governor all the support needed to achieve and make Bayelsa state an investment hub in Nigeria and Africa.”

“Bayelsa State and Malaysia both have palm oil and crude oil, the economy of this sectors can be harness for mutual benefit. It is on this effect that Bayelsa Community in Malaysia have pass a vote of confidence on the Executive Governor of Bayelsa State Senator Douye diri investment policy for reaching out to Malaysia Government for partnership”.

“Bayelsa State has made huge investment in Malaysia through the state scholarship program that sent over 90 students to study in university of East London Malaysia Campus in 2009 to 2015, Bayelsa Oil Company attended Malaysia oil and gas export acceleration mission in abuja 2019. Bayelsa state also got an investment office in kuala Lumpur in 2014 by a businessman Mr tharuma Ratnam although the office was not approved by the Restoration Administration.”

Kelvin F Otele also described the zeal with which the  the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Content, Development and Monitoring Board(NCDMB),Engr. Simbi Wabote executed the Local Content tower which has lighten up and brighten up Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital,”Wabote leadership has not only brighten the skyline of Yenagoa and led to various significant projects and partnerships in Bayelsa state which has improved the economy value and development in the state.”

“His massive zeal in the building of the Local Content tower has led to improve the economy value and development into the state which plays a key role for many investment taking place in Bayelsa State through sectors like Education, Healthcare, ICT, growing smes in oil and gas, youth Empowerment programs across Nigeria.”
