Today being Thursday 7th November, 2024, I embarked on a Road Tour/Show with the Leadership and members of the Bayelsa State Indigenous Publishers Association on the Igbogene-Bayelsa Palm Ring Road.

I discovered that many Bayelsans do not know that that kind of long, Solid and very beautiful Road is in Yenagoa.

It stretches from Bayelsa Palm to Igbogene. Former Gov. Henry Seriake Dickson actually started the construction of the Road.

The Restoration Administration started from the Bayelsa Palm Road and stopped at the Elebele/AIT Roundabout where we have the Gate of 16 Brigade of the Nigerian Army (NA).

His Excellency Senator Douye Diri took it from that spot through Imiringi Road to Yenegwe-Okarki-Kolo-Ogbia Road and proceeded to Igbogene where the Road actually terminated.

Cheeringly, the Road was constructed by an indigenous LUBRIK CONSTRUCTION COMPANY (LCC) that is owned by an illustrious son of the Ijaw Nation.

I was surprised that Veteran and very famous Journalist like Jones Abiri has not driven that Road. He is not alone. Other outstanding indigenous Publishers also confessed that they have not passed through that strategic Road.

We encourage Commuters to start to use this very all important Road to decongest the ever busy Melford Okilo Road (Mbiama-Yenagoa Road).

We thank our God-sent Governor Douye Diri who is doing so much without making noise.
