The convener Christians United for Politics/Niger Delta Zero Corruption Network, Evangelist Dr. Bannerman Embiowei has lambasted Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State over his visit to his Bayelsa State conterpart in Government House.
Bannerman accused Wike of not showing respect to elders especially ex-President Goodluck Jonathan whom the ex-President foisted on the people of Rivers State against his riverine brothers.
He said Wike’s visit was never for the good of Bayelsa but rather to feather his political nest of becoming a running mate to a Northern Presidential candidate of the PDP, saying that Wike abused Bayelsa State and even collected Soku Oil Wells from Bayelsa which has caused the revenue to fall.
He asserted that Wike ought to have apologized to Bayelsa, Seriake Dickson and Ijaw Nation before visiting Government House, insisting that Dickson and ex-President Jonathan suppose to be part of the meeting.
” The unfriendly, friendly visit of Wike to Bayelsa state government house to us is suspicion. It is surprising to me that someone who collected Soku oil wells from Bayelsa. Wike who also abused Bayelsa state and the past governor, calling him names as a walking stick governor came to visit our government house.
” This visit we know is for his selfish political agenda, he forgot so soon how he had dealt us with a big blow, making our allocation from the federation account to go down, so what does he now wants from Bayelsans?.
” We the Christian’s United for politics, will want his Excellency Senator Douye Diri to tell Bayelsans what Wike wants, because Wike caused us so much pains that we are still not yet out from.
” Though we know him as Mr flyover, we also know him as some one who does not know how to respect his elders, even now he’s not in good terms with our leader ex-President Goodluck Jonathan.
” Another question is, did Wike appologized to Seriake Dickson before coming to our Government House? In a visit of this nature, Seriake and ex president Goodluck Jonathan were supposed to be part of the meeting.
“Wike must do some restitution before we open our doors for him. That is the only way Bayelsans can freely accept him as a friend and not an antagonist, Evangelist Dr. Bannerman added.
