Tarabina charges contractors on timely completion of projects.
The chairman of the directorate for project monitoring and evaluation, Engr. Ebiye Tarabina has charged contractors handling Government projects in the state to expedite action for the speedy completion of their contract jobs.
Engr. Tarabina gave the charge during a project inspection tour to the ongoing Glory drive to Onopa road project in the state recently.
He said the project is very significant for the present and future development of the state, stressing that the timely completion of the project will enhance the socioeconomic status of the people of the state.
The project monitoring boss reiterated the Governor Douye Diri’s commitment and determination to do everything within its power to ensure the timely delivery of quality projects that will stand the test of time.
The site manager of China Civil Engineering and Construction Company, (CCECC ) who is handling the project, Engr. Odi Lee said the company would intensify effort for the speedy completion of the project.
Engr. Lee also noted that with the determination of the present administration on infrastructural development the project will be completed on record time.
A resident of Akenfa on the Glory drive road project, Mr. Marcus Joyson, who is an employee of the company appreciated the Governor of the state, Senator Douye Diri for the award of the contract aimed at improving the standard of the living of the people as well as boost the economic fortunes of the state, and also expressed his appreciation to the chairman of the directorate and his team for ensuring compliance by the contractors.
The chairman and his team during the tour also inspected the ongoing Yenagoa /Oporoma road project and the AIT/Opolo outer ring road project
The chairman was accompanied by the Secretary of the board, Engr Sampson Igodo, heads of department, engineers and amongst others.
