Alex Oyowah is one player fans,spectators and followers of the second tier league, the Nigeria National League NNL have come to admire following his excellent distributions since he joined the Aiteo Cup Champions Bayelsa United from a non league side Celeb Fc of Yenagoa.

Alex Oyowah hails from Biseni in Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State. He attended Egbebiri Secondary School Biseni where started his football career.

Oyowah was born on the 7th July 2005, joined Bayelsa United this season from Caleb Fc after a Pre season friendly match with the Prosperity Boys at the Nembe City stadium, Nembe. His display on the day caught the attention of the Bayelsa United technical crew which led the his signing to the club.

Caleb United went on to lose the game but in truth, it didn’t mean much because they gave a good account of themselves, with Alex Oyowah being snapped up Bayelsa United few days after the game

Since his big move to Bayelsa United from the non league side Oyowah has become and integral member of the southern conference group B2 leaders in the Nigeria National League NNL, his confidence has continued to grow as the season progresses.

If you are seeing him in the colours of the Aiteo Cup Champions for the first time you will think he has been playing professional football for a long time perhaps in the NNL.

Oyowah has scored six goals and three assist for Bayelsa United this season the highest for any midfielder in the Nigeria National League NNL, his calmness and down to earth speaks a lot for him as player.

Alex Oyowah is a box to box midfielder that defends, attack and a good passer of the ball his partnership in midfield alongside Edwin Ayiba, Stephen Wisdom and Favour Martins earned the Bayelsa United a seven game unbeaten run.

With the team currently placed first on the log on 33 points same with Warri Wolves and Crown Fc Technical Adviser of Bayelsa United Diepreye Teibowei who is known for spotting talents when he sees any would be happy with level the of progress Alex has made so far.

The lanky midfielder is also known for winning aerial duels, he rarely loses an aerial battle since he joined Bayelsa United, some of which have resulted to goals for the Yenagoa based side.

His skilful nature has attracted the attention of both local and foreign agents but the young lad is focus with Bayelsa United and does not want to be distracted by any agent.

Alex Oyowah in an interview said he has always believed in himself that he can play anywhere in the world irrespective of the club, stating that when he joined Bayelsa United that his teammates never believed him, because he was playing professional football for the first time.

He noted that he is happy at Bayelsa United and focused on the teams aspirations of playing in the Nigeria Professional Football League NPFL next season, pointing out they are like a family in Bayelsa United.

He thanked his manager Mr Caleb Moredollars, the management of Bayelsa United and the technical for the crucial role they have played in his life.
