Man in Police net for killing girlfriend in Bayelsa
A man believed to be in his thirties, identified as Arepamowei Koru from Ogobiri Community in Sagbama local government area of Bayelsa state has allegedly beaten his 22-year-old girlfriend, Miss Toma Serve-god Angolo to death in Bayelsa state.
The two lovers were said to be cohabiting at the man’s community, Ogobiri in the same local government before the tragic incident occurred on Tuesday.
Residents of the community told our correspondent that the two friends have been staying together without any noticed quarell among them, before a minor disagreement on Tuesday that led to the fight.
According to them, the man might have rained bliws on her at a delicate part of her body that led to internal bleeding before her death. l.
They further revealed that it was with the help of the elder sister of the deceased who was able to grabbed the culprit before alerting the police at Amassoma Division, before he was apprehended.
It was alo learned that the deceased’s father, Mr. Servegod Angolo, rushed her to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Yenagoa, but she gave up the ghost before they reach the hospital.
Police spokesman in Bayelsa State, SP Asinim Butswat, confirmed the incident, saying the suspect has been arrested and detained at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID).
