“Nigeria’s commitment to collaboration and strategic partnerships remains sacrosanct. We recognize that developing our petroleum resources and translating our reserves into economic prosperity require sustained investment, technology, expertise and mutually beneficial partnerships. We will therefore continue to drive investment into the sector,” he said.

He emphasized that stronger global cooperation was essential to addressing emerging challenges in the energy landscape, mitigating potential supply disruptions and preventing developments that could trigger wider energy and economic crises.

The Minister highlighted Nigeria’s determination to leverage its petroleum resources to accelerate industrialization through increased oil production, domestic refining, petrochemical development, gas commercialization and infrastructure expansion.

Furthermore, he noted that Nigeria’s geographical advantage, substantial petroleum reserves and strategic position on the Gulf of Guinea provide opportunities to strengthen its role in regional petroleum supply, trade and industrial development.

According to him, Nigeria’s ultimate objective is to ensure that its petroleum resources become a foundation for reliable energy supply, industrial competitiveness, employment generation and sustainable economic growth.
