UYO—Nigerian youths have been encouraged to take advantage of entrepreneurship training in the natural herbal products sector as a pathway to self-employment, wealth creation and poverty reduction.
The Chief Executive Officer of Sunderson Global Services Limited, Asuqwo Udoh, gave the advice while speaking with journalists at his office in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
Udoh said the company’s training programme is designed to equip young people with practical skills that will enable them to become self-employed and, ultimately, employers of labour instead of relying solely on scarce white-collar jobs.
According to him, despite the challenges facing the business environment, Sunderson Global Services Limited remains committed to empowering youths by taking them off the streets and engaging them in productive ventures that create sustainable sources of income.
He noted that many young Nigerians could improve their livelihoods by embracing entrepreneurship and making use of opportunities provided through the company’s herbal products training programme.
Speaking on traditional medicine, Udoh said herbal remedies have been used for generations by African forefathers and remain an important aspect of healthcare in many countries, including China and Japan. He urged Nigerians to appreciate and promote indigenous herbal products.
He listed some of the company’s products to include Nakom Oil, D-Man, Glucomil, Rejuvenating Drink, Kardiamil, Gynomil, Peptic Tea, Gastro-Pro, Body Lotion and Organic Soap. According to him, the skincare products are made from natural ingredients and are free from harmful chemicals and artificial additives, making them suitable for different skin types.
Udoh also stated that the company offers a range of herbal products developed to support general wellness. He encouraged consumers to seek appropriate professional medical advice regarding health conditions and the use of herbal remedies.
He reaffirmed the company’s commitment to expanding its youth empowerment initiatives through skills acquisition and entrepreneurship, expressing confidence that such efforts would contribute significantly to reducing unemployment and poverty across the country.
