NUJ Bayelsa Council Condoles With Iwolo, Peregba Families Over Loss of Loved Ones

The leadership of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Bayelsa State Council has condoled with the Iwolo family of Nedugo Community in Yenagoa Local Government Area and the Peregba family of Gbanruan Kingdom in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State over the loss of their loved ones.

It would be recalled that recently, the Auditor of the State Council, Dr Grace Zuoye Iwolo lost her beloved father, Barr. Ibeni Iwolo while Ms Esther Peregba lost her beloved mother Princess Thereza Peregba.

Speaking during the condolence visit, the Chairman of the State Council, Comrade Tonye Yemoleigha called on both families to take solace in the Lord as He is the giver and taker of life.

He said regardless of the age, it is very painful to lose a loved one.

While consoling Dr Grace Iwolo, he called on the children to continue with the legacies of their beloved father, who was a fine gentleman that has contributed immensely to the advancement of Nedugo Community and by extension the entire Gbarain Kingdom in Yenagoa Local Government Area of the State.

While that of Ms Esther Peregha, he called on her to be comforted as her mother lived a life worthy of emulation.

Speaking on behalf of the Iwolo family, Mr Iniedouye Iwolo,the younger brother to the deceased, thanked the leadership of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Bayelsa State Council for identifying with them in their trying time.

According to the junior Iwolo, the State Council would be duly informed when a date for the funeral of his late elder brother is fixed.

While Ms Esther Peregba on her part also commended the leadership of the council for coming to identify with her over the passage of her beloved mother.

According to her, the funeral activities of her late mother would commence on Friday, 24th April, 2026.
