In a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Agabe Blessing Kaborlo, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, the Command said the exercise is in compliance with the directive of the Inspector-General of Police and is aimed at denying criminal elements the opportunity to conceal their identities and perpetrate unlawful activities.

The Commissioner also cautioned officers participating in the exercise to carry out their duties professionally, lawfully and with utmost respect for the rights of citizens. He stressed that the operation must not be used as a means of harassment, intimidation or extortion of members of the public.
