Nembe–Brass Road: Project Gathers Momentum As Tarabina Inspects 21km Road And Bridges

Construction work on the 21km Nembe–Brass Road and Bridges Project is recording significant progress, as the Chairman of the Directorate for Project Monitoring and Evaluation, Bayelsa State, Hon. Engr. Ebiye Tarabina , inspected the project site today.

During the inspection, Hon. Engr. Tarabina commended the contractor for the progress achieved so far. Bridges 2, 3 and 4 have reached deck level, while the first layer of stone base/cement stabilization has been completed across the 21km stretch, except at the bridge approaches.

At Bridge 5, Km 11+600, the abutments and all pile caps have been completed, with preparations for beam launching currently ongoing.

The Chairman charged the contractor to step up the pace of work and ensure timely completion, noting that the project, when completed, will enhance connectivity and stimulate economic activities across the Nembe–Brass axis.

He was accompanied by the Secretary of the Directorate, Engr. Sampson Igodo; Board Members; Engineers; and other officials of the Directorate.
