The Okpoama Kingdom Council of Chiefs in Brass Local Government Area, under the leadership of High Chief Nathan Egba-Dienagha, has commended Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, for his bold initiative in embarking on the construction of the Nembe-Brass Road through the swampy mangrove terrain.

The commendation was contained in a communiqué signed by the Chairman, High Chief Nathan Egba-Dienagha, and the Secretary, Chief Inenyo Yousuo-Ogbulu, issued at the end of the Council’s second scheduled meeting for 2025 held over the weekend in Okpoama.

The statement described the Nembe-Brass Road project as pivotal to opening new frontiers of development in the coastal area, noting that it takes a courageous and fair-minded leader like Governor Diri to take up such a huge challenge.

The Chiefs also expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for approving the construction of the second phase of the Nembe-Brass Road project by the Federal Government.

They further urged the construction company, All Infrastructure Limited, handling the second phase, to expedite the process for seamless delivery, in line with the government’s vision for the area.
