Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) from Brass Local Government Area of Bayelsà State, Chief Tari Emberru has dismissed as a “joke taken to far” the claim of alleged involvement of the Speaker of State House of Assembly, Rt.Hon. Abraham Ngobere with a recently arrested sea pirates and militant group in the state.
According to Chief Tari Emberru, despite the fact that the claim against the Bayelsà Speaker is cheap, vexatious, infantile and shameful, the facebook posting carries all the trappings of an ignorant political blackmail against the person of Mr Speaker Rt. Hon. Abraham Ingobere and its a joke taking too far by some unscrupulous, nefarious, faceless persons, seeking to archive pecuniary benefits.
Chief Tari Emberru, who is a Chief of Buoama in Akassa and writes from Hurubo Polo in Buo-ama kingdom in Akassa Clan in Brass Local Government Area, in a statement titled “WHEN SILENCE BECOMES BETRAYAL”, said the attack on the credibility of an upright speaker is more worrisome due to the fact that these shameless individuals committed this atrocious act with our dialect and seemingly in my home town.
Chief Emberru, in the statement, said” Looking at the the footage, is laughable where some faceless people are struggling, prodding a criminal to do their bidding,”
“No kidding, these are political times and those unpopular political merchants that knows very well that they can’t win their elections from the ballot are seeking ignorant people to use to do their dirty work by trying to smear, malign, vilify, defame or tarnish the image of their perceived opponents (Shameful).”
“Today it is one person they dared not to attack because he stand tall in every ramifications of the word upright, capacity builder, community developer, mentor and more.”
“Consequently, the Akassa people ( Akaha Ibe) should not keep silent as these marauders of evil seek to misrepresent and destroy our ” numero uno” (our number one).”
“Furthermore, silence would become betrayal if we don’t condemn this acts of criminality, not necessarily in the media space but everywhere we find ourselves.”
“Silence becomes betrayal when you as Akassa person will join hands with political jobbers and faceless individuals to destroy your own and dim your light just to pacify these merchants of evil.”
“Finally, as an Akassa Chief from Hurubo Polo in Buo-ama Kingdom of Akassa clan, i do hereby condemn these act, and appeal and caution our people to refrain from any act that seek to divide and drag us down.Today, is Our Speaker, tomorrow it might be you or me.”
