Tarabina Commends Contractors on Nembe/Brass Road Project

The Chairman of the Directorate for Project Monitoring and Evaluation, Hon. Engr. Ebiye Tarabina, has commended contractors handling government projects in the state for the pace of work and quality delivery recorded so far.

Engr. Tarabina gave the commendation during an inspection tour of the ongoing Nembe/Brass Road project on Thursday, April 23, 2026.

Speaking during the visit, the chairman stated that the Prosperity Administration remains committed to the infrastructural development of the state, noting that the completion of the project would provide a multidimensional boost to the state’s economy.

He, however, emphasized that the Directorate would continue to uphold strict adherence to standards and specifications, stressing that the projects are critical to both the present and future development of the state.

In his response, the site supervisor, Engr. Emeka, disclosed that the first and second bridges have been completed, with only the walkways on the second bridge outstanding. He added that beam launching has been completed on the third and fourth bridges, while abutment works on both axes of the sixth bridge are ongoing.

Engr. Emeka commended the chairman and members of the board for their diligence in project supervision and assured that more milestones would be achieved in the coming days.

The chairman was accompanied on the inspection by the Secretary of the Directorate, Engr. Sampson Igodo, board members, and other engineers.
